We have a Hollywood themed classroom this year, so I've set up a "movie ticket" behavior
system. Each student starts the day off with 5 behavior tickets.
The consequences for losing behavior tickets are as follows: 1 ticket = Warning
2 tickets = Sit out
5 minutes of recess
3 tickets = Sit out 10 minutes
of recess
4 tickets = Sit out
whole recess and write
behavior note to parents
5 tickets = Spend whole
recess in Mr. B's
office and call home to parents
At the end of the day, those students who still have 4 or 5 behavior tickets will earn the right
to play the "Walk of Fame" game. This is a fun game where each student gets to roll dice and move the number of spaces on
the game board that they rolled. Students will earn treats based on what they land on.
We will also play "Behavior
Bingo" throughout the school year. I will draw numbers when the whole class is displaying good behaviors. For example, if
we are all ready and quiet when asked I'll draw a number or two. Using a 100's chart, when 10 numbers in a row are covered
vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, we have behavior bingo and earn a class party of some sort.
